I am an Applied Scientist at Amazon Lab126, focusing on mobile computing, wireless sensing, edge intelligence, and their integration with Alexa’s generative AI models.
I specialize in sensing technologies and have developed innovative solutions for IoT devices, with applications in smart home automation, proximity-based interactions, and real-time indoor localization.

As a founding member of the team developing Alexa’s spatial awareness capabilities,
I advance IoT experiences by integrating wireless sensing with real-world applications. My work enables AI systems to interpret physical presence and spatial context, supporting seamless and context-aware interactions.

Prior to Amazon, I was a Graduate student at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign (UIUC), advised by Prof. Romit Roy Choudhury. My Thesis focused on problems in mobile and wearable computing, wireless sensing, user tracking, and
indoor localization.

Previously, I received my Bachelors (2017) in Computer Science and Engineering from IIIT-Delhi, where I worked on problems in mobile computing and collaborative sensing in online networks, advised by Prof. Vinayak Naik and Prof. Ponnurangam Kumaraguru (PK).

Over the past decade, I have had the opportunity to have affiliations and collaborations with multiple research organizations – Microsoft Research, IBM Research, Xerox Research, RSA Security, Signals and Inference Research Group (SiNRG @ UIUC), PreCog Research Group (PreCog @ IIIT-Delhi), and Mobile and Ubiquitous Computing Group (MUC @ IIIT-Delhi).

Research interests: Mobile and Wearable Computing, Indoor Localization, Wireless and RF Sensing, Edge Computing, Applied AI, and Applications of Machine Learning in the context of Internet-of-Things (IoT).
